Fantastic Suzuki Fronx: Two Awards at the COTY Awards 2024

Suzuki steps up to the plate, claiming two awards at the South Africa Car of the Year Awards with the Fronx. It was awarded first place in the Best Budget and Compact Vehicle category. All category finalists were tested extensively in the evaluation phase at the Zwartkops Raceway. The winner was chosen based on the results from these tests and the data from Lighthouse Auto that took the market share, sales volume, value for money and public perception of each car into account. The Fronx went the extra mile and placed second in the overall ranking for the Awards, losing only to the BMW 7-Series. “The jury of the SA Guild of Mobility Journalists chose the Fronx after a thorough vehicle testing process, which means that their choice truly reflects the best in automotive excellence in its segment." - Brendon Carpenter (Brand Marketing Manager of Suzuki Auto SA) With these awards, Suzuki boasts a recent award for effectively every passenger vehicle in its range.

More Suzuki Standouts

The Swift, Dzire and Baleno flew the Suzuki flag as finalists in the naamsa Accelerator Awards in October 2023. The Swift and Dzire won awards as South Africa’s most popular imported vehicles in their classes.

The Celerio and Jimny were awarded notable accolades in the GadgetWheels of the Year Awards two months later.

Additionally, Suzuki won the Cars.co.za Consumer Award for the Best Entry Level Hatchback and Crossover (Swift and Grand Vitara) and the Best Budget Hatchback (Baleno). The Consumer Awards rigorously tests each car and considers the owner's input for half of the scoring, making Suzuki being the most-awarded compact and budget vehicle brand in the awards even sweeter.

Last but not least, the Swift Sport enjoyed all three podium spots in Class A1 for Turbocharged Production Vehicles at the 2024 Simola Hillclimb.
