Overview.

Powertrain and range The Comfort and Dynamic variants use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 145 kW electric motor and an 18.3 kWh Blade Battery. Combined system output is 160 kW and 300 Nm. BYD claims 80 km of pure electric range, a combined driving range of 1,080 km, and fuel consumption as low as 5.5L/100km on the hybrid cycle. DC charging is supported up to 18 kW and AC up to 7 kW, with Vehicle-to-Load and regenerative braking included across the range.

The Premium adds a second rear electric motor producing 120 kW and 250 Nm, and a turbocharged version of the 1.5-litre engine producing 96 kW and 220 Nm. Total system output rises to 238 kW and 550 Nm, with AWD and a quicker 0 to 100 km/h time.

Size and practicality At 4,775 mm long with a 2,765 mm wheelbase, the SEALION 6 is a full-size SUV. To give that scale, it is approximately the same length as a Toyota Fortuner. Boot space is 425 litres with the rear seats up and 1,440 litres with them folded. It seats five and the rear seat is spacious enough for three adults on shorter journeys.
